Happy Birthday to you, 'merica!

Alexander had a great 4th of July weekend celebrating America's Birthday.  He had lot of fun with friends at birthday parties, 4th of July parties and a great parade.  He got this flag at the parade this morning and has been waving it all day.  He even took it around the block waving to all as we went on a walk.

He made these glasses at daycare.

He's also working on the Pledge of Alligence.  Maybe there will be video to come.

Also this weekend, like good Americans, Alexander and Daddy grilled out and we had our first Chili Dogs.  They were deliciously messy and fun for all.

Happy 4th!  Hope your weekend was as nice as ours.

First Haircut

Also in March, Alexander got his first haircut.  We went to a great little barbershop where they do it for free.  And, they gave him a certificate from babyhood to boyhood.  We liked the place so much, Daddy has been back for a haircut and straight razor shave and Alexander has had his 2nd cut there too.

Alexander was sporting one of his many shiners this weekend.  I think this one is when he climbed up a water fountain and fell face first into it at school.

This was the weekend we had Prayer Bear from school.  He went everywhere with us, including the Barber Shop.  Alexander loved having him in tow.

With his certificate.

More March

Not sure how July managed to get here so quickly, but I have a lot of blog catching up to do. I will try to be better about this in the future, but at least I can share some of what's been going on with the Biggs all these months. In March, we took a rode trip to Ennis, Texas to tell Nana and Bumpa good-bye their last weekend in Texas. It was a long way, but worth it. Besides too much wind, we all loved camping and being outside together. Alexander's first campfire and smores, walks, and just having good family time made the weekend very good.
